Safe Shelter for Youth 10-17

Safe Shelter for Youth 10-17

Lighthouse offers free, confidential help and safe shelter when youth have nowhere else to turn.

The Mecum House provides a safe haven for youth ages 10-17 who are physically or sexually abused, neglected, or for some other reason believe they can’t safely be in their own homes. It’s a place filled with caring and educated staff members who work hard to make kids feel safe, comfortable and at home right away. No youth is ever turned away.

At Mecum House, there is always someone to listen and offer support. All youth are welcomed and affirmed and treated with the same care and concern.

  • Doors are always open
  • Provides safety and care for young people who don’t feel safe in their own homes.
