Ruth Voss Was A Voice For Youth: Good Things Going Around
Ruth Voss was a mother of eight, and editor of the Cincinnati Enquirer, and a passionate Cincinnati philanthropist. One day she received an invitation from President Nixon to meet with him in the White House, where she had an opportunity to tell him about a half way house project she was working on in Cincinnati that was in desperate need of funds. After she and her friends had tried for a long time to get government funding, he wrote her a $50,000 check. And that project became Lighthouse Youth Services. Ruth’s son, Peter, recently shared her story.
