Hamilton County Children’s Services Levy on November Ballot
Thank you, Commissioners Todd Portune, Denise Driehaus, and Chris Monzel for your support of the Children’s Services Levy. Today the Board voted to place the levy on the November ballot.
The levy funds services for the county’s abused and neglected children, whether it’s services to help keep them safe in their home or pay for kinship care, foster care, and adoption so they are safe outside the home.
In 2017:
- More than 20,000 abused and neglected children received help, that’s 1 in every 9 Hamilton County children.
- The number of children being served by Hamilton County Children’s Services jumped to 20,204 up from 15,780 in 2015.
- Hamilton County Children’s Services served its highest number of children in at least 20 years.
Lighthouse Youth & Family Services hopes you will join us in our support of this levy.
