Local 12: New Lighthouse Sheakley Center for Youth at center of plan to end youth homelessness
Nearly 40 percent of the area’s homeless are under the age of 25. And the number is growing. Now, the only local agency focused on serving homeless youth is growing as well.
Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is leading the effort to end youth homelessness in Cincinnati by 2020. The goal is to get people between the ages of 18 and 24 into safe housing as quickly as possible. Now, there is a new facility to help meet that effort
